Athena Diallo is a French photographer based between Paris and the French West Indies. Specializing in both still life and portrait photography, she draws much of her inspiration from her Guadeloupean and Guinean heritage. Proud of her roots, she approaches photography as an exploration of beauty and culture, far beyond the traditional Western gaze.

After studying at the Spéos school,  Athena discovered still life photography through her experiments with lighting techniques for still life compositions. This meticulous work, which highlights the subtlety of shapes and textures, has since become one of her main specialties, approached with great sensitivity. She treats each image as a living piece of art, where light, composition, and elements carry deep significance.

In both her portraits and still life works, Athena Diallo seeks to transcend mere visual representation. Her photography invites viewers to redefine beauty and explore narratives of identity and culture through a modern, personal lens, expressing its ambition to help today's underrepresented populations find equitable representation in the future.
